About the Course
"We are to spend our days standing in the middle of what we have already been given, to study the contours of the reality of this life, to run our hands across the stone, to listen the sound of our feet as they hit the cobblestones.” --Billy Scervey
This twelve-week cohort course, running from June 5, to August 27, will help you explore what it means to find inspiration for your creative writing right where you are in the world.
Weekly work will include themed readings for thought and discussion, and writing exercises to inspire your work.
Weekly themes will include: cultivating stillness and observations, creating space, digging into history, and more. We will also explore writings from authors such Wendell Berry, Mary Oliver, Annie Dillard, Billy Collins, Luci Shaw, and others.
